Back with more rantings...

It's has been sometime since I posted anything on my blog. Life is quite hectic for me nowadays, My daily routine now only consists of 3 phases:

  • Wake up
  • Go to work
  • Sleep
And 80% of my time will be attributed to work. It gets worse when you have to deal with some idiots at work. Much time is wasted just to explain simple things and the same blardy documents was re-written 3 times (since the idiots keep on complaining that they don't understand, which in reality they only read the table of contents).

Desperate sales promoters...

I have been insanely busy with my work in the last couple of weeks and finally last weekend I had some time off to visit one of Malaysia's largest exhibition of gadgets and pretty girls.

As usual, crowd was heavy and the stalls were filled and show-offing new, highly advanced tech items. My friends and I spent a few hours there looking around and testing some of the stuff there...well ...I was looking at the girls there more...but then most of the time my view will be blocked by the DLSR-ers (since they are the frequent visitors there..I wonder if they have a whole collection of the girls, categorised by different periods/syle etc. that I can obtain/download from).

I was a bit dissapointed with the exhibition as I was expecting some demo on the latest Android OS, the ice scream sandwich and a variety of ultra thin ultrabooks. There was nothing on Android, and only a handful on ultraboks available, the rest are the stuff you can see everyday at LowYat, with a lower price tag. I feel that the organisers should take the advantage of the crowd and showcase some new items there, similar to the Tech Conference in some countries.

Towards the end of the tour, I was again pitted against waves of aggressive mobile carriers and credit card promoters. But I noticed this time around they were really desperate to get you to sign on their offer. They tried to persuade me without giving me information on the product or offer. How awesome is that?

Here's some of the shitty persuasions I have encountered at the exhibition:

sales promoter: Sir, you want unifi (broadband connection)?

me: I am currently using it at the moment. Thank you.

sales promoter: Eerr...ok...so..

another sales promoter: unsubscribe and re-subscribe la...(in a joking tone...but I could feel the promoter somehow really wish that I would do that)

The sales promoter can instead ask me about the package I am using at the moment and try to get me sign/or upgrade to the package with higher speed, and of course he/she will need to persuade me by telling me the benefits and a very good reason for doing that.

The next one is the credit card promoter (I have encountered a lot of credit card promoters and most of them tried to persuade me with the same tactic)

credit card promoter: Sir, do you have a moment, I just want to talk to you.

me: ok?

credit card promoter: So, which bank are you using at the moment? I am not trying to ask you to sign up, just want to give you some information.

me: XXX bank and XXX bank.

credit card promoter: So you want to sign up with our bank?

me: I already got enough credit cards. I don't need another one.

credit card promoter: Our card very good one.

me: ..... (That is your info?) Thank you, but I really don't need another one.

credit card promoter: Please la, help me a bit la (to get the commision). Help me la.

me: ..... (Then who the fuck is going to help me to settle the annual fees and service tax for the new card????)

What bollocks is that? This has to be one of the worse tactic used. That guy should really do some research on different banks and try to present the benefits of their card over other banks to the people they approach.

End of my rumbling...good night...

When your own race doesn't give a F*** about you...

This morning I went out to run some errands in Taipan Subang Jaya. As usual, the area there was packed with cars filled with families going there for a weekend meal. I was at a junction where I saw a female driver who looks like a foreigner, blocking the road (between the HSBC building and Maybank)I need to turn into Initially I wanted to honk a bit to let her know that she is blocking the road, but before I hit the center of my steering wheel, I saw that she was stucked because of the driver in front. The chinese female driver was reversing her car out of the parking spot and was blocking the foreign driver's way.

After a few minutes maneuvering the car, the chinese female driver managed to create some space for the foreign driver to proceed her journey. But this time she came blocking the road leading the small road (in fact her car was blocking people from both directions). The queue started building up behind me and the drivers behind me were starting to get irritated. Everyone started honking (same goes for me) as she was taking way too long . Because my car was the first in the line, she gave me a nasty look (a big "BITCH" can be seen written on her face) and started cursing at me in the car. The staring and cursing wasted another few seconds which to Malaysian drivers, is a heck of a long time. This time, she tried to reverse further to get into the small road where she could instead, proceed in front and make a turning there which would instantly release the deadlock and return the traffic back to normal.

In case you can't visualise the bi*ch expression at that time

As she was taking her own sweet time reversing her vechicle, (wonder how she managed to get her driving licence, she can't even do a proper and simple reverse), I gave her another honk, asking her to speed up a bit. She gave me another nasty look, the same as the first one. I actually thought of honking her continously so that she will keep on giving me the nasty looks since she is so responsive to my honks. But I care for other road users (golden halo on my head) and decided not to do so. After a few more minutes, she managed to get her car into the small road and traffic resumed as normal.

If you think this is over, then you are completely wrong as she caused another deadlock at another junction in front .

Later in the evening, I went out to collect my car from the service center. On the way back, I did a very idiotic thing when trying to adjust my car seat. I actually pulled the trigger that opens my car boot. I can't do anything at that time as I was in the middle of the road and the traffic light was sturing green soon. From my back mirror, I could see a Malay driver and his famiy in the car behind me was looking at my car boot with their eyes wide open. They started chatting to each other while pointing at my car boot.

"Laugh all you want...I don't care. I am a stupid driver." I said to myself, trying to find some comfort. When I looked into the mirror for a second time, I saw the driver swayed away and stopped beside me. The Malay family looked at me and started pointing and gesturing that my car boot was opened. It was quite funny looking at them as they seemed to be more frantic than I. I replied back to them that I knew and thanked them for that.

It was really heart warming to see the real 1 Malaysia spirit in action (different races caring for one another) , rather than the souless, unappealing and sickening 1 Malaysia advertisements that appear in almost everywhere.

Big Fat Liar....

A month ago, a major car manufacturer announced a recall on two of the models due to a fault. My car was one of the models and since I am a heavy road user, I went to the authorized service center to get more information about it, just to make sure that it is still ok for me to travel far. (I travel about 160km per day)...

I got to the service counter and asked the guy there. All I got was "There is no problem with the car assembled in Malaysia, only the ones assembled in Thailand are affected." I was like "WTH....they did not say that on the official website". The guy continue to "convince" me that there is nothing to worry about....

A month later, I got a letter from the car manufacturer..asking me to sent my car back for an "upgrade"...(car being recalled due to the fault). Just f$@#ing awesome, the guy at the service center just told a bit fat lie to me. He could at least told me that my car was affected but should be fine if I don't do this and that, so that I know what to do or at least react to the situation if anything happens due to the fault. But no, he insist that my car is perfectly fine, which it isn't. Luckily the fault did not cause any major problems for me..so far (touch wood...touch wood)...or he'll get screwed for sure...

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank that asshole for giving me the wrong information, may his body rot bit by bit for every car owner he lied to throughout his service there...Oh did I mention which service center...it's USJ Car Express in USJ Subang Jaya...

New and effective law to reduce accident on Malaysian roads...

I'm sick of getting stuck in the traffic jam which is caused by some dumb idiots on the highway (caused by human error i.e. speeding, zig-zagging and not natural causes). Therefore, I strongly suggest our government to look into implementing my little suggestion here:

  • If a driver has caused an accident (due to human error) and that lead to heavy traffic jam on the road/highway, all other motorists passing by the site is required to spit on the offender.
  • The punishment will last for a minimum of 2 hours.
  • Fine will be imposed on the motorist who, for some reasons, decided not to spit on the offender.
  • If the offender requires medical attendance/hospitalisation from the accident (injuries), he/she will be place in public areas (shopping malls or toll booth) for the public to spit at. The duration is set at a minimum of 2 hours.
  • The duration of the punishment depends on the severity of the offense.

If this law is passed in the parliament, I'm pretty sure the accident rate can be reduced by at least 80% .....

I was selected....

by the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) for their research in which I was given a survey. As a heavy road user, I was ready to provide all the experience and information, hoping I could contribute to decrease road accidents in this country. When I look at the survey, I was like....."WTH is this?"

1. Car Mileage
2. When the mileage was taken
3. Main use for the vehicle
4. Met with an accident before? If yes, how many times?
5. Job
5. Job nature
6. Age
7. Sex
8. Salary

I thought they would ask more about road condition, driving habit..etc But why do they need my salary info for? The higher your salary, the most accidents? (maybe it's true, BMW drivers speed like mad on the road). This is bollocks....

People first government???

Redirected from the Stat online:
POOR children in some schools are being served unbalanced meals while others are eating meals prepared 18 hours in advance, said the Auditor-General’s 2009 Report.

The Education Department issued a notice of periodic monitoring to two schools for serving sardine sandwiches with no sardines and chicken porridge with no chicken.

Two schools in Perak cancelled their contracts with caterers because they continued to flout meal regulations.

Dieticians from the Health Ministry said the meals served under the supplementary food programme (RMT) meant for children from poor families could lead to malnutrition.

The Education Ministry has prepared a guide which lists 20 menu choices to be served under the RMT.

The guide also says the meals must include meat and vegetables to ensure a balanced diet for the children.

The meals, which consist of one main dish, a drink and a fruit must be prepared and served five times a week by a school-appointed caterer.

SK Jernang in Batang Padang, Perak, was found to have been serving beef curry that was cooked and stored 18 hours before it was served to students. The caterer gave the excuse that the school was too far and there was not enough time to cook the food on the same day.

An audit at the school also found that it was only serving four meals instead of five.

The school was also found to be serving fried beehoon without any meat or vegetables. The serving of fruit was also less than specified (a slice of apple instead of half an apple).

The A-G’s report also said that some schools were found to be preparing their RMT meals in unsanitary conditions because the schools did not have proper preparation areas.

The A-G’s report investigated 47 schools in four states between June and October last year. A total of 689,950 students in 138 districts received the aid, and RM249.26mil of the allocated RM254.92mil was spent.

Singapore Day 2...

Day two started off with a heavy downpour. I was on my way to the Bras Basah (translated as “Wet Bras”) Complex to pick up a parcel for my friend. The day before was hot like hell and today it seems like there is no end for the rain.

I had to walk in the rain since I have no umbrella and it wouldn’t have helped much anyway. The strong wind will just blow away my umbrella and send the rain straight to my face. The name of the street would be damn fitting if I had a bra.....Halfway to my destination, I had to take shelter at an old, run down building because the rain had begun to shoot down like water cannons.

Feeling extremely bored (since I can't proceed further or head back to my hotel), I took out my phone and started playing the apps on it. Suddenly I saw the countdown timer and did something which atheists would consider "heresy". I looked upon the sky and said “You better stop raining in 10 minutes or else...” then set the countdown in my phone. I did this out of boredom...and did not really expect anything out of it. To my surprise, when the countdown ends, the rain had reduced to just drizzle, enough for me to continue my journey, and when I reached the National Library of Singapore, the rain came to a halt -

Bras Basah Complex

A place that sells all types of reading materials, from novels, magazines and text books to past exams papers.... (Singaporeans are well-known for being “Kiasu” (afraid to lose)….that’s why they are good at everything..) After I got the parcel, I went back to my hotel to dry myself and plan for my next destination.

By 3.00 pm, rain was getting smaller and smaller. It was time to explore another area in Singapore. Since it was getting late, I have decided to visit somewhere nearby. I looked through the map and chose to pay the Fountain of Wealth a visit, hoping it would grant me something it is known for.

It was a short ride to Suntec Mall using the MRT. Once there, I headed straight to the Fountain of Wealth as I have seen the magnificent display in various brochures and tourist maps . My heart was beating with excitement as soon I'll be amazed at one of the largest and the most beautiful fountains in the world.

“Fountain of Wealth closed from 8th to 12th September for event decoration.”

Instead of a magnificent fountain with stunning visual effect, what I saw was only a big sign with the words:@#$#$$!#!#@#!!!!! Simply wonderful!!! Wasted all my time and energy just to see the worthless signboard…..

After the disappointing trip, I went to Bugis Street, a better version of Chow Kit in KL for a tour. It is a really convenient place as you can get almost everything there, from fruits, clothes, accessories, souvenirs to something more exotic like sex toys….

Singapore Day 1...Part II

I spent the entire afternoon (which I regretted) strolling along the Marina Bay. The sun was freaking hot, I can feel my flesh getting roasted on a roasting pan.

When I arrived at the Merlion park, I could see a bunch of Chinamen tourists there. From far, I could sense their overwhelming patriotic feelings. They love constructing “the great wall of China” whenever they take photos and will make sure that they are in your photos too....

On the way back to the hotel, I came across a female tourist (she looks like one of the Chinamen group..I could be wrong). We had a simple eye contact and out of sudden she said “Heeelllooo”, in a very high tone. I was like ???????. I just smiled back at her...fearing that she would jump on me and rape me if I say "Hi"....

Singapore Day 1...Part I

It was 3.45 in the morning as I pulled myself up lazily from my warm and cozy bed. Today is the day where I would start my 5-day vacation in Singapore. After my bath and breakfast, I went to do the final checking of my luggage. The taxi driver came very..I mean very early (4.45 am) to pick me up as according to him, LCCT is always packed with people, so the earlier I go there, the better. For your information, this is my first time taking Air Asia, though doubtful to book initially, the cheap price ultimately tempted me to key in my credit card number in the online booking form.

When I arrived at the LCCT terminal, it was really crowded, like people going on a pilgrimage or something. I tried to search for the counter for the flight to Singapore, but it was nowhere to be found. Not wanting to waste my time searching for a pin in the haystack, I asked one of the workers there and all I got was “Belakang sana” (behind there)… Ok? Behind where?? I walked towards “behind” and asked another guard standing there. He replied “corner there”…Though not really a full and complete answer, I somehow managed to find the counter (thanks to my level of IQ..) The 14 inch screen reads..

Singapore Bangkok
Shenzen Hanoi
Vientiane Phnom Penh

Note: I can only see the words Bangkok and Singapore...can't remember the rest...

Only those with superhuman eyes can se it at a glance. The funny thing is, all other counters are showing titles like this...#%$@%@#$%

SANDAKAN

I waited in the line (it was a long queue as all the people travelling to the places above were lining up there..) and when it was my turn….”Sorry gate close already…please proceed to the customer service counter”….

“I am sorry? “ (These words came from me…not the cibai bastard at the counter and sorry for the foul language used here). I looked at the time, it was 5.39 am and my flight is at 6.15 am. I insisted the guy to check me I (I don’t have any big luggage to check in) but he told me he can’t do anything. (Can’t or lazy?). I had no choice but to proceed to the “customer service counter” and only to get the same answer..”Gate close..can’t do anything…please take the next flight”. The best thing was my current ticket was forfeited because they have closed the bloody gate..way before departure time. A few of us suffered the same fate. The guy t the counter did not even apologize to us, even a bit. I can see the words “Fuck off already” on his face.
Having no other options (can’t go back since I he booked the hotel and everything), I went to the sales I counter and paid another RM229 for the ticket. (And I wonder why I can’t use the existing ticket for the next flight..at least try to make me happy….)

Where got? #$!@#$!#$!#$! The lady at the sales counter “advised” me to come 3 hours before departure time for international flight…mahai, what kind of bullshit is this???

Air Asia definitely has left a bad impression, on my virgin flight with the air carrier some more…how cool is that? Fuck you Air Asia…mo#$@@F84930g piece of sh*t…..And what is the point of having a customer service counter there…Just put a recording machine with some text there saying “Your ticket has been forfeited for this flight, please proceed to the ticketing counter to get a ticket for the next flight. Thank you for flying with Air Asia, the best low cost carrier in the world” (“best” my ass…best among the worst..maybe but I still don’t believe that)
After 40+ minutes in the air, I finally arrived at Changi airport. I was given a big ass map of Singapore…really huge map..(quite ironic as the country is so small… the map has another function…it can be used as a skirt by wrapping yourself up…useful tool to bring to the Casino..in case you lose everything there..) I bought the tourist pass (SGD 8 per day) which would allow me to spam the usage of the MRT and Buses. Earlier on, I have booked a room at Hotel Bencoolen..I thought it would be a below average hotel….but when I opened the door to my room, it was quite ok.

I took a nice warm shower before lying on my queen sized bed, releasing all my anger on Air Asia as I type the first part of the entry. I decided to take a short rest and a shelter from the hot sun in the icy cold hotel room (set the air-cond to the lowest..16 degree celcius)….I can survive the Siberian winter, but will instantly melt at 27 degree Celsius…

Super squid sex organ discovered...

Directed from BBC news:

The mating habits of deep-sea squid have been revealed for the first time, after the discovery of a male squid with a huge elongated and erect penis.

The male squid's sexual organ is almost as long as its whole body, including the squid's mantle, head and arms.

That shows how male deep-sea squid inseminate females; they use their huge penis to shoot out packages of sperm, injecting them into the female's body.

The discovery may also help explain how giant squid mate in the ocean depths.

Worst delivery service ever!!!

alaysian way of delivery!!! Just fantastic!!! It took them 2 hours to make 3 burgers, few nuggets and 2 apple pies...(so called Fast Food....Fast meh??? A Malaysian: 2 hours fast for Malaysians already, don't complain...look at how long the Malaysian wives take to put on a simple makeup???)

It's really torturing for having to wait for your delivery for almost 2 hours because you'll never know if he is going to send it to you. You got the confirmation message saying that the delivery guy is on the way, but how soon? It's really torturing having to sit on the sofa, watching the tv with your mind keep on guessing whether the guy will be here or not? or maybe they have forgotten the order..etc. When you are about to make the call to cancel the order, the guy will instantly show up in front of your door..niamah...

It's bad enough to wait for 2 hours for the delivery... It's worse to see the delivery guy showing you a "shitface" (The face of a guy who has just stepped on a pile of shit) after you've complained to him about the time taken to deliver just 3 burgers and a few stuff (By the way, the M-restaurant is just nearby, I can reach there in less then 8 minutes....) After taking the money, that "shitface" left like he was chased by a pack of hungry wolves...When I looked at the delivery, the packages were soggy (it rained for a while) and the food was long cold.....

He was really smart to disappear instantly or I would've sent his ass to mars......

The mindset of Malaysian drivers III....(Updated)

This morning when I was driving to work on the Elite highway and Plus highway, I noticed the buses and lorries were very "obedient" on the road. None of the lorries and express buses were speeding, zig-zagging, tail gating and all the highway stunts. For the first time, I actually saw the express buses using the inner most (slow) lane!!!! It's a miracle....and they only overtake other vehicles when necessary....

I was shocked to see this and I thought I woke up in the wrong country!!!

This could be due to the news that recently shocked the entire nation...

Hopefully they'll remain like this forever and our highways and roads will be less dangerous.. They are back to the useless reckless way now..#!$#$@#

Just an update from the tragic incident:

Not guilty?? you must be kidding me.. So who's mistake is this? The innocent divider that is always on the road/highway which can't do anything but staying there 24/7 under extreme weather condition??? Come on....seriously...

The mindset of Malaysian drivers II

"10 killed in bus crash; Perak MB wants night express buses stopped"

This is nothing new in Malaysia and the dumb MB only wants night express buses to be stopped? What about the buses that travel in the morning??? He should take his car down the highway and experience it himself...our mighty F1 (Fucking Ones) bus drivers!!! (Sorry for the foul language here, can't help it...)

As far as I can tell, the morning buses are no different than the night buses in terms of speed and suicidal behaviour... The government should come up with a set of strict rules and punishment for those drivers that speed and drive recklessly on the road.
But then again, I wouldn't have high hopes on that.....

The mindset of Malaysian drivers...

The "Malaysia Boleh" spirit is getting way out of hand, especially on the roads. Most Malaysian drivers think they are F1 drivers (drive like F1 drivers? Boleh...no problem...easy nia) and often speed, overtake, perform 90 or 360 degree turns or tail gating like crazy on highways and small narrow roads. Remember this:

"There is no glory at the end of the road, only sorrow"

Among them, the bus drivers are the worst. Lorry drivers came very close in second. I am a frequent user of the highway and I've never seen a bus driver (not mini bus here...the big express bus) driving slowly and steadily on the highway. They speed as fast as the F1 drivers too..no, maybe faster than Michael Schumacher or Kimi Räikkönen, with a much bigger toy...Moreover, they change lanes when they feel like it (sometimes overtaking other vehicles using the inner most lane then zoom diagonally to the fastest (3rd) lane...In other words, they drive as if they are the king of the roads and doesn't give shit about the lives of others. No other vehicles (except the big heavy tankers or lorry "balak" but they are slow, so not a problem) dare to challenge them because they know if their "proton" or other normal cars crashed into one of them, they would pay a heavy price. Unlike the bus drivers, they know that they will usually escape unharm (or slight injuries) in a collision..

Typical scene on a Malaysian road..vehicles stopping on the yellow box

We see news of accidents almost every day. Please, drive safely on the roads. If you are one of the drivers that love to race on the highways, please go to Sepang Circuit or get yourself a copy of Need for Speed. Don't involve other innocent road users. Remember your loved ones and others too...
