Spending my Christmas day at Starhill...

I started my Christmas day at Starbucks with a mug of hot chocolate and a piece of chocolate fudge...

Saw some dancing at Pavillion...

Went to KLCC to find some books...

And back again to Pavillion for lunch..(TGI Fridays isn't as good as Chillis)

The only thing that I want to talk about here is the movie Avatar (The sci-fi one, not the Avatar cartoon/animation). I would say "AVATAR" is the movie of the year. It has got the best CGs (increadibly stunning!!!!), good storyline and nice action in it. And it shows the true nature of the human race....(I feel ashamed now..)

If you haven't got the chance to watch it in the cinema, you should do it now...I mean now!!!

"Toruk Machto!!!!!"

"Drag Me To Hell" movie review.....

An interesting horror movie to say. The story is both horrifying and hilarious at the same time. The effects were awesomely done and the actors were great in making the movie lively and realistic.

The biggest credit, without any doubt, would be given to this old lady here, The Mighty Old Lady of All Time..Without her outstanding acting, the movie won't be as interesting as it would be...

She can kick serious ass , before and after her death

A must watch movie for the horror-loving movie addicts!!!

ps: The old lady reminds me of the one that "cursed" me in Amsterdam......an advice to all, never angers an old lady, or you'll get it!

IP man o Ip Man???

When I first saw the title of the movie, I was delighted and at the same time confused for a while. Being a computer science student who is nerdy + geeky (I am being humble here), the first impression I had with the with IP Man is...

"Oh gosh!!! Is this movie about some kind of superhero that will use the Internet Protocol to travel around the internet and kill bad hackers or computer virus to save the world??? How cool is that?? I wonder if he will break through the useless firewall on Windows PCs and crush the ultimate evil software powerhouse, Microsoft...."

It turns out that this was only a kung fu movie about a martial arts master Ip Man (Pronounced as "Yip" or "Yeap" "Ma-an").....What a let down...

“Epic Movie”- The not so epic film…

The day before the Thaipusam holiday, my housemates and I planned to go for a movie…However, after that we felt quite lazy and decided to stay in the house for the day….

The next day - Thaipusam (Someone had to go Batu Caves to pierce his body…)

"A holiday in the house? No way! I must get out from the "jungle" and return to the civilized world!!!" I went to my friend’s room and tried to lure him into going for a movie…I tossed a coin..heads for going and tails for staying (The magic coin is the guide for me..it helps me of getting the right choice everytime..)

We prepared ourselves and headed towards Times Square for the "Epic Movie"..(actually all of us had our intentions..Ammar wanted to get his copy of "Malaysian Evo", Mustap and I wanted to get a quality router for the house, Sudheer wanted to "wash his eyes" and Diban wanted to…er…not sure….

"Epic Movie", a story full of parodies…The story settings consists of Narnia, Pirates of the Carribean, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Nacho Libre, Borat, Charlie and the chocolate factory, James Bond, Click, Pun’k, Da Vinci code, X-men and many more…One of my favourite characters is Silas, the albino baddy in Da Vinci code, who is supposed to be ruthless and cruel..but in this movie, he looked more like a clown..

Storyline: Main story resolves around the land of Narnia and includes …rating: 5.5/10 (Sorry guys, I hate the story of Narnia…)

Audio/Music: Nothing much impressive. They used most of the popular songs available. 4.5/10

Graphics: What do you expect from "Scary movie" type graphics? 6.0/10

Overall: 6.7/10 The movie can be quite entertaining. Nonethless, the use of dirty jokes and gross actions just don’t amuse me that much…..

"Drawn Together" - The 3D comedy

First of all, the 3D here doesn’t mean 3 Dimension of CG graphics. Instead it stands for Disturbing, Disgusting and Dirty comedy. Compared to South Park and Family Guy, this comedy has the worst dirty jokes, racism critics and parody of most of the cartoons….

Main Characters:

• Captain Hero (voiced by Jess Harnell) - A chauvinistic, perverted and lecherous parody of Superman (and other superheroes), with a visual style taken from the cartoons of Bruce Timm and Max Fleischer. Among reality TV archetypes, he represents the macho egotist.

• Foxxy Love (voiced by Cree Summer) - A sharp-tongued parody of Valerie Brown from Josie and the Pussycats, she is a promiscuous mystery-solving musician. She represents the sassy black woman.

• Ling-Ling (voiced by Abbey McBride) - A homicidal spoof of Pikachu from the Pokémon franchise, who battles using various supernatural powers/abilities (reminiscent of anime) and speaks in pseudo-Japanese gibberish (or ‘Japorean’, as Ling-Ling’s voice Abbey McBride calls it) with English subtitles. He represents the culture shocked foreigner.

• Princess Clara (voiced by Tara Strong) - A pampered, hyper-religious, and racist princess who is a parody of Disney princesses like Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Belle from Beauty and the Beast. She represents the naive daddy’s girl.

• Spanky Ham (voiced by Adam Carolla) - A sex-obsessed, obnoxious parody of Internet Flash cartoon characters. He represents the crude party animal.

• Toot Braunstein (voiced by Tara Strong) - An overweight sex symbol from the 1920s who demands to be the center of attention, cuts herself with razor blades when depressed, and often instigates conflict in the house. Based on Betty Boop. She represents the bitch.

• Wooldoor Sockbat (voiced by James Arnold Taylor)- A bizarre children’s show character in the mold of SpongeBob SquarePants or Stimpy who displays many of the typical reality-defying behaviors of Looney Tunes characters. He represents the attention-starved weirdo.

• Xandir P. Wifflebottom (voiced by Jack Plotnick) - A homosexual parody of video game heroes like Link from the The Legend of Zelda series. He represents the token gay participant.

Disclaimer: Parental Advisory required. Audience must be 21 years and above. If you turned gay for watching these videos, i’m not responsible.

Rating: 7.5/10 (Good stuff!!!)

Some updates: unfortunately the show was cancelled due to poor ratings in the 4th season....

Mission Impossible 3.....

watched mission impossible 3 today....overall it's quite breathtaking..nice effects and tonnes of action...too bad they blew up a lamborghini..(if ya wanna blow it up....better as well give it to me)

Rating:

storyline/plot: 8.5/10the storyline is just like any kind of action movie...a hero trying to save the world and be with his love one..but one thing that the producer did a really good job is hiding the true enemy..(damn..even the wisest guy like me also have been tricked)..and the most notable thing is..the bad guy really get what he deserves in the end...

graphic:9/10 The graphic/special effect is awesome..especially the missiles..(woooo..kaboom!!! but no matter how many missiles hit Tom Cruise, he's still the man..saving the world and his love)...the movie also includes some of the nicest city in the world..Vatican, shanghai....)

if ya all really like action-thrilled movie with a simple plot (compare it to V for Vendetta..my BRAIN IS OVERWORKING!!!), better catch this one ...

Next movie..DA VINCI CODE (though i read the book dy..but action tells all...wuahahahaha)
