Taipei Trip II - Double-de-Zoo...

One of the attractions not to be missed when you are in Taipei...howeverI was slightly irritated during my trip there.

Being a bachelor, it's envious to see those couples walking hand-in-hand around the place...

Check out the couple behind me

Even the animals try to make me feel jealous of them...dammit

However, cupid was lingering around me that day. By chance, I manage to find a lonely panda in the exhibition hall....

and flirted with it....

Meet my new partner

Remarks: The zoo is definitely worth visiting. Lucky for me, there wasn't many people visiting the panda since it was a weekday...

Next...Retarded photos during the Taipei Trip...

Embarassing moment...

Just a moment ago, the personnel at the hotel which I booked early this year for my planned Taiwan trip, called me up to confirm my trip.

Taiwan Hotel guy: @$#$#$$%#@!#!@#!

Me: Hello??

Taiwan Hotel guy: @$#$#$$%#@!#!@#!

Me: Hello??

Taiwan Hotel guy: @$#$#$$%#@!#!@#!

Me: Can you speak English please?

Taiwan Hotel guy: @$#$#$$%#@!#!@#!

Me: Maybe you got the wrong number...(hangs up)

I was like WTF?? So weirdo making prank calls...and calling from overseas some more. Seconds later, my phone rang again....

The Hotel lady: Hello, sir, I am calling from CityInn hotel...(with a very strong Chinese accent)

Me: Oh!!

The Hotel lady: Just want to confirm about your stay. When will you be reaching?

Me: Around 12.

The Hotel lady: Ok, thank you very much.

I didn't even know they called me up until I talked to the second lady, cause all I heard was all gibberish (not sure if it is Mandarin, Hokkein, or some other native langugage). That call really wakes me up from my afternoon drowsiness in the office...

Saturday Showdown...

I was strolling around Bukit Bintang area with my friends last Saturday a and I bumped into a demonstration outside Maybank. This was my first time in my life time witnessing a protest first hand...how lucky!! (Too bad there weren't any water cannons around to excite things further).

The protestors were singing and chanting their slogans..quite a public performance there..too bad it wasn't in the news (I was looking around, hoping to get myself on TV or in the news...too bad no reporters there...XD)

The number of people protesting were around 30-50 people, and the busybodies (including myself) enjoying the show there were in the hundreds. The policemen whose job is to control the crowd became the tour guide instead as many passer-bys were asking them about the protest!!!

Having to much excitement, me and my friends went to Genting to cool ourselves down....

5 Foods That Help You Sleep...

Redirected from yahoo! health

Should you let yourself have that midnight snack if you're having trouble sleeping and you think hunger might be part of the problem? Here are five foods that can actually help you drift off:

Can't Get a Good Night's Sleep? 5 Surprising Reasons

1. Cherries. Fresh and dried cherries are one of the only natural food sources of melatonin, the chemical that controls the body's internal clock to regulate sleep. Researchers who tested tart cherries and found high levels of melatonin recommend eating them an hour before bedtime or before a trip when you want to sleep on the plane.

2. Bananas. Potassium and magnesium are natural muscle relaxants, and bananas are a good source of both. They also contain the amino acid L-tryptophan, which gets converted to 5-HTP in the brain. The 5-HTP in turn is converted to serotonin (a relaxing neurotransmitter) and melatonin.

3. Toast. Carbohydrate-rich foods trigger insulin production, which induces sleep by speeding up the release of tryptophan and serotonin, two brain chemicals that relax you and send you to sleep..

4. Oatmeal. Like toast, a bowl of oatmeal triggers a rise in blood sugar, which in turn triggers insulin production and the release of sleep-inducing brain chemicals. Oats are also rich in melatonin, which many people take as a sleep aid..

5. Warm milk. Like bananas, milk contains the amino acid L-tryptophan, which turns to 5-HTP and releases relaxing serotonin. It's also high in calcium, which promotes sleep.

Recently I had trouble sleeping at night (due to the never ending work I was getting....the list is still expanding at the exponential rate..). I found this little interesting article on yahoo and tried out option 4 and 5 which did help a little in getting me to sleep. So if anyone of you is experiencing the same problem, go ahead and try them out or if you have your own remedies, please post them here!!!

I'm off to bed now.........zzzzzzzzzzz

R.I.P my phone......

My first gen iPhone has been accompanying me for almost 4 years. Even after Apple announced the new iPhone 4, I was reluctant to change it since my phone did not give me any issues. It was my most useful and reliable little gadget when I was or without my laptop. I'd use it for emails, web surfing and gossiping chatting with my friends...

I must confess I did not really take good care of the phone. I've dropped it a couple of times and it was still performing very well (minus a few dents at the top left corner of the phone). After my US trip, where I dropped my phone *again on the tarmac road and leave a huge crack on the screen, my iPhone started experiencing random freezes...and in the last few months, I get it almost everyday, sometimes twice a day. And 2 weeks ago, my phone finally succumbed to its injuries. I was unable to revive it anymore. Everytime when I tried to start it up, it would just freeze. I've tried force reset, system recovery and all the remedies I can get from Dr Google but to no avail.

Goodbye iPhone, I'd certainly miss those good memories when we are together (my fingers moving up and down on your smooth and clear display screen, feeding you every night with electricity..etc).

Alright, Android phones, here I come!!!!!!!

A day out at Daytona beach...

And ended up meeting some weird fellow named Richie....

It all started when I was enjoying the clear blue sky and nice sea breeze along the beach, suddenly there was a guy yelling from behind. A first I thought he was calling some other fellas there. He then approached me (shockingly) and introduced himself as "Richie"....a Chinese like me (though he is Jamaican)...

"What's your name...I am a Chinese like you...You are my brother....I love Chinese Mysteries and Martial Art..You know Bruce Lee?"

Those are the words that he keep repeating to me. The best part is he thinks the world is created by "Chinese Fairies that dances around"....

I was trying to get away from him but he was sticking to me like a glue (and keep on asking me why I like Daytona Beach) ...After a gruesome 30 minutes, I finally ditched that guy...

Lake Mary, Florida Part I

After a long and gruesome ( 24 hours ++ ) flight, finally I reached Lake Mary, Florida. On my flight to Orlando from Los Angelas, I was given an warm welcome by a group of paparazzi waiting by the exit and they even took photos of me..I feel like a Star walking on the red carpet...woohoo!!! (Actually they are waiting for some celebrity there and I can't be bothered to wait for another few hours just to catch a glimpse on that celebrity after 16 hours on the plane)....

Once I reached the hotel, after a nice warm bath and a heavy breakfast, I went to "slumberland" for 12 hours straight... and then a late dinner at UNO Chicago Grill(really late, just moments before the shop closes) which I had the most well-known American food..

Will upload some other photos later...

How to be safe on Malaysian Roads...

I just had a flat tyre yesterday, and to be honest, it wasn't a a nice experience. Thanks a lot to the potholes on the road. The only way to be safe on Malaysian roads and highways would driving one of these :

Safest "car" in Malaysia

For sure the bastard lorries & bus & car drivers will keep a distance from you and you'll never need to worry about the road condition!!! Best thing is you can blow the bastard drivers to smithereens if they annoy you with their "wonderful" driving skills...

p.s. Many thanks to FJ for helping me out with the flat tyre and don't you ever show the video of me fixing the tyre anywhere online....

Weird afternoon....

It all started when my friend George who just came back from UK and I were having lunch at Kim Gary in Sungai Wang plaza. We were chatting and cranking some jokes while having our lunch just like any other people there. George is a "funny" mad clown, and I am a crazy "Retard". We literally "exploded" the restaurant with our laughter. We were laughing so hard and our voice can shatter any glass object.

After our lunch, George told me that some girls at the table behind us were taking photos of us and a girl beside our table was laughing at our jokes (Eavesdropping??). I didn't manage to catch that scene (taking our photograph) as the girls were sitting behind me. To be honest, I was really surprised that someone is actually taking photographs of us!! (Not sure if its true, maybe the clown is making things up....or maybe we are just too hot!! Yes, we were really hot....sweating like ice melting under the hot sun)

p.s. A message to the girls behind me, if it is true that you are taking photos of us...can I have a copy of it? Thanks!!!!

Just for laughs...It's actually "Sons of Dorn"...

PC Fair 2009 @ KL Convention Centre...

Hope to get some freebies there...ended up with a bunch of brochures....

All i can see are people walking around...where are the goods?

Author's feedback: Too many people squeezing into the small area..I see more butts and boobs than the computer products (Don't blame me or call me a pervert, they are the ones showing it to me blocking my view on the computer gadgets..what to do?) Price is similar to the ones in LowYat, maybe slightly cheaper, by a few ringgit if you are lucky, or a few cents just to make you happy..

Price is not really negotiable...I tried to ask for the DDR3 ram for 150 bucks (price tag 159). The promoter said ok, let me ask my boss first. He then turned around and started wrapping up the stuff which I thought I am darn bloody good at bargaining..In the end I paid RM 159 for the RAM..Promoter: Sorry la, boss say cheapest dy, cannot cut further....

One thing that I regret buying at the PC fair was a cooling fan for my laptop. Usually my laptop is fine without any fan, I just want to give my laptop a better treatment aka feeling cooler a bit..and guess what, my laptop shuts down itself (due to overheating) when i used the cooling fan...%#@$%@% (first time shutdown)
